Edward Alfred Spearritt played for Ipswich Town, Brighton & Hove Albion, Carlisle United and Gillingham. He spent some seasons in the top level of English football whilst with Ipswich and Carlisle.
From 1969 to 1974 he played 225 games (plus seven as sub) for the Seagulls and scored 25 goals.
Eddie won the Brighton & Hove Albion player of the year in 1973.
