John Nason

John Nason was a right hand opening batsman who played 22 matches between 1906 and 1910 scoring 539 runs average 18.58.

A Cambridge blue in 1909 and 1910, he had already made his county debut as a schoolboy in 1906 in unusual circumstances. In the match against Warwickshire at Hastings Dwyer, the opening bowler, injured his finger after only 5 overs and Nason was allowed to field and also bat. He played 19 matches for Gloucestershire between 1913 and 1914.
