Beneath the bamboo grove, alone,

I seize my lute and sit and croon ;

No ear to hear me, save mine own ;

No eye to see me, save the moon.

  1. Never seen this before. Ancient Chinese poetry isn’t something I’m familiar with at all. Must look further into it. Nice to see you still search for new directions in your uploads. All the best.

    1. My blog is very random, I think, depending on where my head is at any one time.

      I have a book from the 1890’s with Chinese poetry which I bought in a second hand bookshop some years ago. I’m not sure some of it has ever been posted before so adding here for any who may be interested. 😊

      1. It’s good poetry to read. Does take a while to get into the messages and meanings. Reading the background philosophy of how and why subjects are chosen is interesting. Over the next few days will try to find decent sources to dip into the background. Thanks for the reply.
