Arnold Broadhead signed for the Albion from a Sheffield junior club in February 1921 and scored on his first-team debut the same week. Taken on as a professional a month later, he turned in some splendid performances for the ‘Lambs’ but failed to reproduce his reserve-team form in the League side.
His consistent displays in the second eleven earned him a place in the Southern League’s representative team against the Central League in March 1922 when he scored the consolation goal in a 5-1 reverse at Wolverhampton. In 1924 he moved onto Swindon Town but appeared just once in their Third Division side before forsaking the first class game a year later at the age of 25.
Arnold played 8 matches for the Seagulls between 1921 and 1924 scoring 2 goals.
