
“Bertie” Wilson was a right-hand batsman and right-arm slow bowler who played 140 matches between 1913 and 1924.
He scored 6,138 runs including 6 centuries average 25.16 and 1,000 runs in a season 4 times. He took 26 wickets at 45.54 runs each. He captained Sussex from 1919 to 1921 and was responsible during that period for raising the standard of the Sussex fielding.
In 1920 he played in the Gentlemen and Players match at The Oval.
