Cricket whites, burgundy, black and amber circles school cap, Grammar School vibes (not really my natural culture at all), and heady weekend trips out of school to play other school teams. Apparently I was a decent bowler. Useless batsman. Wool jumper and heavy long thick trousers weren’t the easiest to move freely. Also….still never understood the finer rules or etiquette way back then either. Football was in my blood. But…Football never existed at grammar school. So Rugby and Cricket were the only choices.
