Dave Clelland was born in Netherburn, Lanarkshire in 1924. Dave played as an outside right Brighton & Hove Albion (1948-49, 8 appearances, 1 goal) Crystal Palace and Scunthorpe United.
After retiring from football in 1951, Dave served in the Metropolitan Police.
