Considered quite a catch on his arrival from Watford for the Albion’s first ever season in August 1901, Ephraim Colclough never showed his top form at the County Ground and left the club for an unknown non-League destination before the end of the campaign. Before joining Watford in July 1900, he had appeared in Stoke’s First Division team on three occasions, having signed as a professional for the ‘Potters’ from local junior football in January 1899.
Ephraim played 7 matches for the Seagulls in 1901-02 scoring 3 goals.
