Ernest Killick was a fluent left-hand batsman and right-arm slow medium bowler who played 450 matches between 1893 and 1913.

He scored 18,539 runs including 22 centuries at an average of 26.48 and took 723 wickets at 27.34 runs each. His highest score was 200 against Yorkshire at Hove in 1901 and he reached 1,000 runs in a season 10 times also the double of 1,000 runs and 100 wickets in a season once.

His best bowling performance was 7 for 10 against Essex at Leyton in 1910 and he played in 389 successive matches for Sussex. He was awarded a benefit in 1910 which raised £261.

After his retirement as a player in first-class cricket he scored for Sussex for 21 years. He was one of the few bespectacled players in first-class cricket.
