“Joe” Stannard was a right-hand batsman and right-arm slow medium bowler who played 73 matches between 1914 and 1925.
He scored 1,437 runs including one century at an average of 13.43 and took 14 wickets at 51.71 runs each. His only century was 114 at Hove in 1920 when he shared a partnership of 209 for the 8th wicket with H.E. Roberts in only 95 minutes against Worcestershire.
