
Harry Simms was a right-hand batsman and right-arm fast bowler who played 79 matches between 1905 and 1913. He scored 2,413 runs at an average of 19.46 including one century and took 88 wickets at 24.06 runs each, including five wickets in an innings twice.
He achieved the double of 1,000 runs and 100 wickets in 1912, the same year his brother R.K. played 2 matches for Sussex. His only century was at Hove against Nottinghamshire in 1912 when he scored 126 including ten sixes. He was also a noted golfer.
