A tall, red-headed wing-half, Len Edwards joined Sheffield Wednesday in January 1951 and became a regular in their Central League side, but he made the first eleven just twice, appearing in two games of the Yorkshire club’s Second Division championship campaign of 1951-52.
In March 1954, Len signed for the Albion and made his debut at centre-forward, but his primary role was as a deputy to Harry Gilberg at right-half. He met with greater success after moving to Crewe Alexandra in the Third Division (North) in December 1955, where he made 40 League appearances before leaving the first-class game.
Len played 6 matches for the Seagulls in 1954-55.
