Mick Bridge was a youngster from Turton FC, the home town club of Albion skipper Joe Leeming, who was signed as a professional by Brighton during the close season of 1913. He was given little opportunity to impress during his one season at the Goldstone Ground, though, making the midweek Southern Alliance side on just two occasions and playing only sporadically for the second eleven.
